  1. How do I prepare for my first session?

    We ask that all new clients try to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes early. This allows this to complete the intake packet and essential paperwork. We also ask that each client bring their drivers license and insurance card.
  2. What is a typical session like? How long are the sessions?

    ?

    Each session is structured around the client and their needs, and lasts roughly 45-50 minutes.
  3. How often would you anticipate seeing me? For how long?

    ?

    We typically expect clients to be seen between 3-6 months, 6-12 months, or ongoing treatment. Our counselors will work with you in deciding what will best meet your treatment needs.
  4. Do you accept my insurance?

    ?

    We have in-network providers for almost all insurance companies including private and state funded. Please talk to our clinical director, Shannon Eller, LPC, LMFT, about your insurance needs.
  5. How much do you charge?

    ?

    If your insurance does not cover your visits and you are not a part of an EAP, the cost is $45 per session.
  6. How do you set up counseling goals? What is success for you?

    ?

    Our counselors will work with you individually to decide on what your goals and expectations are for counseling. Each client's success rate will depend on his or her individual journey and expectations.
  7. How long has your office been practicing?

    ?

    Our office opened in 2007.
  8. Do you offer marriage and/or family counseling, or work with children?

    ?

    Brighter Tomorrows staff has trained counselors who can address individual, couples, and family issues for adults, children, and adolescents.
  9. What do I do if I have an emergency situation over the weekend?

    ?

    If you are suicidal, please call for help immediately. You may dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room to help get you to a safe place where you can't harm yourself. Please contact our Clinical Director, Shannon Eller, LPC, LMFT, and she will contact local treatment centers and your counselor to coordinate care.
